I had a wonderful experience sitting at the sushi bar. Carolyn, whom I hear is the best server in town, lived up to her reputation… And Charlie’s wit and delicious food sealed the five star deal. I had a shrimp and avocado tempura roll, and Gyoza. 2-24-2025: enjoying a light lunch of seared tuna and gyoza. Sushi bar is a nice place to sit if u r solo. Tyler a good 3-11-25: excellent again… I got the tempura bento box and it was more than I could eat. Had about six or seven different things in it. My family got the sushi rolls. And the seared tuna was outstanding. Highly recommend this for an affordable lunch. 5-18-25: I was underwhelmed today. Noel was a great server very personable and I got the lunch teriyaki style chicken and rice fried. And basically the chicken seemed like it was pre-cooked (unseasoned) and then cooked again (unseasoned) with my rice which turned out to be more like sticky rice instead of fried rice. and the chicken when you cut it had no juiciness at all it was just like twice cooked chicken bits. But there was a lot of it and the rice was good and I guess if you take it home you can dress it up a little bit in your own way to make it taste better. But the Gyoza was perfect and my brother loved his sushi roll. The place is very popular and I will go again it's my brother's favorite place. And he is a good cook. This was just once out of 20 times I've been when I truly enjoyed it. And in full disclosure they did discount my bill some for an order ordering error 10-19-25. Carolyn took excellent care of us and the food was delicious and the portions were very big for lunchtime. Excellent price I'm a big man and I had to take half of it home. I had sesame chicken large bowl of fried rice and egg roll and broccoli for under $10.

Shogun never disappoints. It’s THE go to place for sushi, always super fresh and tasty I personally love the tuna avocado.

Me and my fiancé came here a couple days ago and it was AWESOME! We had a great server her name was brooke I believe, food came out at a perfect time and the sushi was amazing! We will definitely be coming back here in the future!

This was my second visit, and again, it was fabulous! Everything! Loved the clear soup, and their ginger dressing for the salad was fresh and crisp. We ordered 5 different sushi rolls, the softshell crab app, and a hibachi dinner. Way too much food for 2, but we couldn't decide, so we just kept ordering. Very happy with each item. I think our favorite was the ECU. Hard to decide. The only thing that was not amazing, I would say was the tempura fried ice cream. The batter was thicker than I was expecting and not entirely crunchy. We still ate all of it, though. Will definitely be visiting again! Ate here again last night and still delicious. I had the Brussel sprouts for my appetizer, and I ate every bite! I tried the Greenville roll as well and loved it. Someone else with our group ordered a poke bowl. He loved it, it looked delicious, now I wish I ordered that. I guess I have to go back.

Shogun is back! We used to eat here more often than any place in town but had kind of stopped going often, and eventually hadn’t gone in a long time. We went back recently and the menu had a lot of updates and Ramen! I got a ramen and my son got a different one. They were both really good and my wife liked their hibachi

I can’t lie to you, I wasn’t really expecting much from a little hole in the wall sushi restaurant in Greenville, North Carolina. However, this place blew me out of the water. The fish was great quality, you’re getting excellent bang for your buck. The brussels sprouts are not traditional, but they were amazing. I cleared it by myself. If I find myself in Greenville again, I’ll be back!

Attentive associates and has delicious sushi. Being a picky sushi eater they were able to switch the ingredients and still have original sushi taste to it. Will be visiting again try thei other cuisine on the the menu.
